Begin by joining Carol for 10 engaging, 60-minute online French language lessons.

Upon completing the course, embark on a memorable 14-day journey through France with Carol and fellow participants. Experience the romance of Paris, explore the historic charm of Montpellier, enjoy a 4-day canal barge cruise, and bask in the sunshine of Nice while putting your new language skills into practice.

A maximum of 8 participants can join this amazing French language course and immersion.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day One - Three: Paris

    Discover Paris’s highlights: the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame. Cruise the Seine on a Bateaux Mouches boat tour, explore the Musée d’Orsay, Musée Rodin, and the Louvre. Wander Le Marais, visit the Gauguin Museum, shop at Samaritaine, and tour the Château de Versailles. Enjoy the artistic charm of Sacré-Coeur/Montmartre.

  • Day Four - Five: Montpellier

    Start your walking tour at Place de la Comédie, exploring the Old Town's street art and visiting MOCO and Musée Fabre. Discover Port Marianne, stroll along the Lez River, and admire the chic designs of The Cloud and Arbre Blanc.

  • Day Six - Seven: Arles

    Visit the Fondation Vincent van Gogh and learn about the life and legacy of the artist van Gogh. We will visit the café from his famous painting: “Le Café la Nuit”

    We will walk around the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Roman Amphitheatre where bullfighting, concerts and plays take place. 

    The next day we will take a day trip to Avignon and visit the papal palace, walk around the streets in this medieval walled town. Then you will enjoy the famous bridge Pont d’Avignon and understand the significance of the chanson: “Sur le Pont d’Avignon”.

  • Day Eight - Eleven: Canal Barge

    Explore the Camargue on a barge boat along the Canal du Rhône from Lattes towards the medieval fortified town of Aigues-Mortes. Sample local food and wine while experiencing a boating holiday. Discover pink flamingos and other wildlife in the beautiful landscape of the Camargue region.

  • Day Twelve - Fourteen: Nice

    We'll stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and enjoy swimming and sunbathing at the beach. We'll take a walking tour of the Old Town, visit the Musée Matisse and the Marc Chagall Museum, and relax in the hilltop park of Colline du Château. We’ll also take a day trip to Saint-Paul de Vence, one of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera.

  • Day Trip to Monaco

    Start with the Casino de Monte Carlo, then snap a photo at the iconic Grand Prix Hairpin Bend. Visit the peaceful Princess Grace Japanese Garden (free entry) and admire the Monte-Carlo Opera House from outside. Stroll through the Jardins d’Acclimatation to spot footballers' footprints in the concrete. Check out the luxury yachts in Port Hercules and view the Monaco Yacht Club. Finish with a look at the Prince’s Palace from the outside, and enjoy lunch at Chez Pierre.
